Greater works
Most certainly I tell you, he who believes in me, the works that I do, he will do also; and he will do greater works than these.
The most audacious thing Jesus said about his followers, and the one most often quietly ignored. He did not say you would admire his works, or remember them. You will do them, and greater. Whatever this means, it means that the way is a road that goes on past where he walked it, and you are on it. Tonight, the last full fast begins. Go into it not as an ending but as the disciples went into the morning after the third day: not knowing what is possible now.
Today's practice
Ask, in the sit: what work is mine to do that I have been calling impossible? Do not answer. Let the question sit in the silence and see what it does over the next three days.
The fast
Daily fast today; after supper, the last sunset-to-sunset begins. Finish early and lightly.
By the calendar, today is Day ?.
